Good to know

Rewiring questions,
answered clearly.

Still unsure where to start? Request a survey and we will talk you through the condition of your installation and the sensible options.

Ask us a question
How do I know if my house needs rewiring?+

Warning signs include an old fuse board, limited sockets, dated rubber or fabric cabling, repeated tripping, buzzing accessories or visible alterations completed over many years. The safest answer comes from a proper inspection of the installation.

How long does a full house rewire take?+

The programme depends on the property size, construction, access and specification. A standard house is often completed within one to two working weeks. We confirm a realistic schedule after the survey.

Can we stay in the house during the work?+

It is often possible, but a rewire is disruptive and power will be unavailable in working areas. We will explain the sequence honestly and help you decide whether staying elsewhere for the busiest stages is more practical.

Will the walls need making good?+

Where new wiring is concealed, some chasing and access holes are normally required. We minimise this wherever possible and agree the making-good finish and any decoration responsibilities clearly in your quotation.

Can you plan for EV charging, solar or smart technology?+

Yes. A rewire is the ideal time to plan spare capacity, data cabling and routes for future technology. We will discuss what you may add later so the installation is ready for it.

Our standard
A well-planned rewire should leave you with more than new cables. It should give you confidence in your home for years to come.
